Up Front Horses was created to be a full service facility for the recreational rider.
We are located about 10 miles east of Rice, 5 miles northwest of Gilman, 11 miles north of Foley, 22 miles northeast of St. Cloud, 20 miles west of Milaca, 40 miles southeast of Little Falls, and 26 miles north of Becker in Central Minnesota.
Most of our personal herd of horses are American Saddlebreds. They are the base of our lesson program.
Although we have shown, bred, trained, and sold horses in the past, our focus for the past 10+ years has been recreational riding, teaching lessons, and working with our herd. Our focus has become providing a great experience for riders with and without their own horses.
Our facilities include 20 stalls in heated barns, a 72x144 indoor arena, a large round pen, 60 acres to ride on, large pastures, a quiet rural location, and a peaceful environment.
We provide boarding for outside horses. This includes daily turnout, grain, hay, water, clean and bedded 12x12 box stalls, and nearly unlimited access to the indoor arena and opportunities to ride. All horses are handled by knowledgeable horse people.
Lessons are provided using our horses or yours. Although we have the traditional saddleseat saddles, we mainly use our dressage or trail saddles. We teach basic horsemanship and provide english style lessons to develop basic riding skills and balance.
Up Front Horses is all about being "excited about horses".
